The Food Security Education Project (FSEP) is pleased to announce that scholarship applications for 2026 will be accepted beginning November 1, 2025. FSEP scholarships will cover university tuition and other fees and modest subsistence expenses for undergraduate college students in the agricultural and food security sciences who intend to work in Nepal upon completion of their degrees. 

Scholarship applications will only be accepted from students who have taken the entrance exam and been admitted by a university in Nepal, using the online form below. Please complete (in English) and submit the form no later than December 31, 2025 to ensure full consideration for a scholarship. The initial round of evaluation will be based primarily on the applicant's academic record and financial need. Additional consideration will be given if an applicant is from a food-insecure district, but that is not a requirement for the scholarship.

By March 1, 2026 the FSEP Scholarship Committee will invite a short list of applicants to submit a personal narrative and the contact information of a non-family member who can comment on the applicant's ability to successfully complete an undergraduate degree. Scholarship awardees will be notified about May 1, 2026. Scholarship recipients will be asked to sign an agreement that outlines requirements for accepting the award, including maintenance of a minimum GPA of 3.0 and submission of a written report at the end of each semester to remain in good standing for the duration of the B.Sc. scholarship. 

The FSEP is a non-profit charitable foundation based in Colorado, USA. It supports food security in Nepal by investing in the education of promising students in the agricultural and related food security sciences at in-country institutions.
