Ramesh is from the Doti District of western Nepal and is studying for a B.Sc. degree in agriculture at Far Western University. He is particularly interested in soil science and the relationship of soil health to sustainable agricultural production. His father passed away when he was four years old leaving four siblings and his mother to care for the family. His mother provided the inspiration to pursue an education, and his brother provided funds for Ramesh’s initial university payments.
