Manisha is from Siddhapur in the Baitadi District of western Nepal. She is studying for a B.Sc. Ag degree at Far Western University, where she would like to become an expert in soil science. She is from a family of five whose household economy depends on housework and livestock management and who find it very difficult to afford a college education. Upon finishing her undergraduate degree, she would like to continue her education with an M.Sc. degree in agriculture and contribute to the community of agricultural scientists addressing food insecurity in Nepal.
