Manish is from the Gulmi District of Lumbini Province, which shares a border with India. He is interested in acquiring skills necessary to contribute to innovations such as drought tolerant crops, improved organic farming techniques, and sustainable agricultural practices. He is from a low-income farming family with elderly parents and relies on student loans to pay for his education. He hopes to develop leadership skills to combat malnutrition in rural and urban communities while pursuing a B.Sc. degree in agriculture at Agriculture and Forestry University.
