Yashoda is from the Bajura District in western Nepal where 80% of the population depends on agriculture and where households often face acute food shortages. She is interested in plant breeding and soil science in recognizing that crop yields and soil health directly impact the livelihood of local farmers and villagers. Yashoda is from a family of nine. Her father works abroad, and her mother is a housewife. She attends Far Western University and will graduate with a B.Sc. Ag degree in 2028.
